EDNA at Westford

A pair of ex-N&W high hood GP40s drag an E Deerfield - Nashua train under Graniteville Rd in Westford, MA. Apparently lead unit MEC 372 experienced a generator fire a few days after this photo was taken and was then sentenced to scrap line at Waterville. However, trailing unit 379 is still on the Pan Am payroll, having somehow missed the memo about being painted into Pan Am blue.

Photographed by John Barlow, September 4, 2005.

Railroad: Guilford.
