I last went to Steamtown in 1976. I looked for engines and cars that had made the transition to Scranton and found few left. This Union Pacific Big Boy seems to be in the same sad shape as when I first saw it in Bellows Falls in 1973. Thanks to taxpayer money Steamtown survives, but it certainly is a very different operation.
