VTR Green Mountain Division Inaugural Unit Slurry Train Saturday June 11, 2016

Six engines and 59 loaded OMYA slurry tankers forge their way LOUDLY up the grade through Mount Holly Vt. on Saturday morning June 11. The power lineup of 432-311-2663-201-2208-2147 proved adequate and impressive on the newly initiated first leg of the unit slurry train connecting from Rutland to VTR's Riverside Yard. The former connection of this outbound manifest with PanAm Southern at North Bennington via Hoosick Junction will now be replaced by interchange at Bellows Falls -- the unit train's reroute will ultimately travel the Conn River line south to East Deerfield and points east.
