Late on Friday afternoon the VTR quartet of power led by colorful 431 heads north over Union Street in Manchester Vt. with the interchange cars received earlier from PanAm Southern. The crossing is just east of the famed Equinox Hotel and its golf course -- perhaps the "flags" will be "fluttering" for the 18 holes over the weekend considering the temps hit 76 degrees just 48 hours ago and it's currently a balmy 50+ as the train heads for Rutland.
