VTR B&R action -- Friday February 19, 2016

With all the hub-bub over the expected arrival of the NYC Heritage Unit on the PanAm Southern main line, a quiet stranger and interloper snuck into North Bennington on Friday after a prolonged mechanical absence. The "shared" P&W/VTR 9000 made a journey south to give a shakedown test for some of the "fixes" undertaken over the past month and a half. In consort with the 2334 the duo added 207 to the head end for the return trip after that unit's overnight assignment to provide air and a brake test in preparation for the departure of the unit slurry train from North Bennington.

Cully: Thanks for helping me keep tabs on the North Bennington and other rail doings out that way since my last visit in Oct. I hope to get over there in the Spring. DH Dover NH
