Power at the VTR Engine House in Rutland VT. -- Sunday February 07, 2016Super Bowl Sunday finds eleven locomotives huddled at the Vermont Railway enginehouse late in the afternoon -- "tearfully" lying in wait and resigned to the fact that the team that beat the NE Patriots will win the Super Bowl after the sun goes down. VTR 308 is raring to go as it catches the last rays of the setting sun, and I would speculate that there is a twelfth engine lurking in the shop -- the snake-bitten shared P&W 9000 awaiting a magician's magical wand for recuperation, resuscitation and resurrection.
