A rare Saturday treat as the B&R showcased a unique weekend move featuring a power "sandwich" of the recently acquired SD70M-2 ex- FEC units on parade -- with the VTR 301 in the middle plying out its last days on the railroad. This same power set traveled yesterday over the Green Mountain sub, and graciously the trio remained together for today's sojourn. The consist will be dropped shortly in North Bennington Vt. and the return trip to Rutland will have the "light" group of engines unstressed by northbound cars.
