VTR B&R action -- Wednesday September 30, 2015

If you were about to see a top-line Hollywood production at a theater, perhaps the subtitle for this pictorial vignette would be "The Face Off." That is exactly what is happening on this Wednesday afternoon on the VTR Hoosick (NY) branch as the arriving eastbound PanAm Southern AD-1 (306-614) has the dispatcher's permission to travel no farther than Milepost 2, and that leaves headroom enough for VTR 307 and its two compatriots to retrieve an outbound load of scrap from Walloomsac Recycling. Both trains will shortly make their way across the state line for a normal interchange of cars at North Bennington Vt.
