PanAm Southern AD-1 "pushers" on the B&R -- Wednesday July 08, 2015Although led by three VTR units from Hoosick Junction NY, the 44 car eastbound train has a surprise at the tail end -- MEC 313 and 505 (AD-1) are part of the "combined" train (17 cars off an earlier RJED and the 27 off today's AD-1). In actuality the heavy train welcomed the assistance of the "trailers" on the steep ascent and prevailing grade out of HJ. The two manifests will separate once they arrive at North Bennington -- AD-1 will proceed to consolidate the outbound interchange cars for its eventual evening return and the expected arrival of a relief crew.
