VTR B&R action -- Tuesday February 17, 2015

Improvisation is the keynote to today's action on the VTR B&R subdivision. With the meltdown of PanAm Southern interchange service in North Bennington and the need to create room for working space in Rutland, today's train on the B&R (9000-311-312) began to stage outbound cars on the available sidings south of Rutland. After filling the South Wallingford passing siding the southern terminus for this block of cars will be the siding at Danby -- where the last 16 southbound cars of today's movement will be stashed until the traffic jam at North Bennington is relieved. The "famous" Crosby's building here in Danby is in the distance.
