VTR B&R action -- Sunday February 15, 2015

As another highlight in a dysfunctional winter season, the VTR sent a special train (light engines 311 - 204 - 312 - 203 - 2208) southbound on Sunday February 15th from Rutland. The extra move (here in Arlington Vt.) has one purpose in mind -- make a round trip to grab overdue interchange cars from PanAm Southern at Hoosick Junction, many of which are much needed inbound propane loads and empty OMYA tanks. The overnight snowfall has made many of the crossings "a blast," but the frigid temperatures temper the day as the "polar vortex" with the coldest weather of the year certainly "chills to the bone."
