VTR B&R action -- Thursday February 05, 2015

The "short" southbound B&R train on Thursday was abbreviated because of the continuing PanAm Southern "meltdown" at the North Bennington Vt. interchange. With approximately 100 outbound cars clogging every nook and cranny of the yard again it will take a shoehorn to get even these two to fit somewhere. But the need for empty OMYA tanks makes the trip necessary as this crew will grab cars left once again at Hoosick Junction. An interesting day today -- the ballast regulator preceeded the train and twice (yes twice) at different locations on the southbound trip tractor trailer rigs accidentally ended up stuck and mired in the right of way, only to be cleared each time by heavy wreckers.
