PanAm Southern -- Ladies in waiting -- Saturday July 12, 2014Of the four trains parked in the area, only one has the headlight "glowing" -- in the distance here at Mechanicville the autorack train cools its heels waiting to go east alongside another headed by a NS-CSX combo. Nobody's going anywhere soon, as there is an outlawed EDMO on the main line outside Buskirk with RJ-1 parked (also westbound) back at Eagle Bridge. The first relief crew will arrive later in the afternoon to forward the EDMO to the double track in Mechanicville (past Hemstreet) and then after a short taxi ride probably jump aboard the waiting BNSF trio (4349 - 8046 - 4572), or perhaps the adjoining train (NS 9496 - CSX 5004-5462) depending on Billerica's calculus. On Sunday in a very uncommon move the autorack would end up adding a string of loaded OMYA eastbound tanks that would be forwarded from Hoosick Junction.
