Lincoln's Rail Station

This building was built in the 1850's for the Great Western Railroad in Springfield, Illinois. This is the station Lincoln departed to travel to Washington, DC after his election. In 2012 it was undergoing renovations as a museum. Tracks are now NS. Amtrak serves Springfield at a modern station three blocks west on another rail line.
