BML#50 "High Balling" just out of Waldo, MEBML#50, a GE 70-ton diesel-electric switcher owned and operated by the Belfast & Moosehead Lake RR in Waldo County, ME. Delivered new to the B&MLRR in November, 1946 it has never left service on the road's 33 mile grade since then. During those 67 years this still running veteran has put in more than a million miles while never running faster than 20mph over the 142-year old grade located entirely within Waldo County, the equivalent of more then two round trips to the Moon.
