Naugatuck Railroad Shop Yard

The Naugatuck Railroad shop yard in Thomaston,CT is full of interesting pieces of historic equipment. In this wintry photo taken during a N'oreaster, you can see NAUG 2203 (ex CR 2798) the last u-boat built for Conrail, NAUG 2019 (xNH 2049), and CP #1246 Pacific type steam loco( formally owned by Steamtown, was once named the "F Nelson Blount" for Steamtowns founder).

The locos this day were stripped of their holiday attire, and were being prepared to be switched in the yard.

NOTE:photographer is an employee of the railroad , had permission to take the photo, and was wearing all required PPE equipment.
