Brunswick, Maine Track Upgrades for the Downeaster

This is an aerial view of the trackwork completed in Brunswick, Maine as part of the Downeaster expansion to begin on November 1, 2011, currently used by Maine Eastern Railroad and Pan Am. In the left center is the station, part of a larger building development. To the east can be seen the equilateral switch. To the west, across Union Street is the new crossover, just to the left of the east switch of the pre-existing wye, which is also part of the Lewiston Lower Branch. At the extreme lower right is Harriet Beecher Stowe's house where she wrote "Uncle Tom's Cabin".
