Empire Coke 2 - Calera, AL

There's the Dreyfuss Hudson and the Alco PA; and then at the other end of the spectrum is homely Empire Coke 2, a four-wheel electric switcher built by General Electric in 1905. It saw regular use for nearly a century and is now stored at the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum in Calera, Alabama.

Photographed by David M. Wilkins, May 9, 2012.
Added to the photo archive by Frank Hicks, May 10, 2012.
