Amtrak at Lock 10 Amsterdam,NY

An eastbound Amtrak crawls past the flood ravaged Erie Canal lock 10 just east of Amsterdam. The river in the foreground should be flowing through the lock. Where it is now used to be a large lawn that is a favorite spot of railfans. The canal forces are working hard to restore the damage but it will be some time before we will be able to hang out near the lock again.
