The four track Amtrak/SEPTA "Main Line" at Bryn Mawr, PA, at night

Visible at the left of this image is the now closed Bryn Mawr Interlocking Control Tower next to Track 4 of the four track former Pennsylvania Railroad "Main Line" grade (now operated by Amtrak and SEPTA) ten miles west of Philadelphia at the Bryn Mawr SEPTA station (MP 10.1). This tower opened in August, 1895, and remained in service for almost a century until closed in 1994 after a fire in the locking room. Its operations were subsequently remoted to Paoli.
