The Montreal-McAdam sleeper I arrived in this morning waits on the station siding for the Atlantic Limited to take it back to Montreal. Although McAdam, New Brunswick, is a small back country place on the eastern Maine border, apparently there were enough vacationers and other travelers to support a drop-off sleeper. I awoke on this siding within sight of a major steam roundhouse (at the smokestack) and spent the day watching plentiful steam activity at the busy junction. I had been in Montreal for two days with steam and would head to Norton to ride the 4-4-0 powered mixed train. The circle trip was entirely by rail from Rhode Island. The 4-6-2 is CPR G2u 2660 built by Montreal Locomotive Works in 1913. The Pacific is backing to the roundhouse after arriving with a freight.
