CANADIAN PACIFIC 4-4-0 AT NORTON STATION

Canadian Pacific A2q 4-4-0 144 built in 1886 waits at Norton to start the mixed train to Chipman, New Brunswick. In the distance is the enginehouse in the center of a wye where 144 spends the night -- 4-4-0's 29 and 136 alternate with 144 and are stationed at Chipman. The Norton station is shared with the Canadian National seen in the foreground. I arrived by train the previous night to ride the mixed train on its round trip, part way in the cab of 144.
