CANADIAN PACIFIC 0-8-0

Canadian Pacific V4a 0-8-0 6928. The switcher was built as a 2-8-0 by CPR's Angus Shops in 1907 and converted in 1928. I found her at the McAdam, N.B. roundhouse about to switch the yard. The roundhouse on the eastern Maine border was still servicing a large number of steam locomotives which worked a number of lines in the vicinity. Note the recess in the pit wall commonly installed to inspect and service the turntable turning mechanism.
