Rail line and rail trail.

The is the North Central RR/Pennsylvania RR looking north from Hanover Junction towards York, PA. A modern rail trail runs the length of the line which hasn't seen traffic for over twenty years. The Northern Central was built in the 1840's and was the only line between Harrisburg and Baltimore & Washington. It was replaced in the 20th century by a zero grade line following the Susquehanna River which sees extensive traffic in 2011 some 15+ miles to the east.
