Here we see Amtrak #460 (left in picture) sitting at the Los Angeles Union Station Depot as it is getting ready for a trip to San Diego later in the day while the Amtrak on the right is the Coast Starlight getting ready for departure to make its trip from Los Angeles, California to Seattle, Washington. I have taken the Coast Starlight trip a number of years ago and it one of the nicest routes that I have been on when it comes to the Amtrak routes.
