BKRR Bottoms Out - SPARKS FLY!!!

This is what it looks like when a locomotive hits a soft stretch of track and bottoms out — the pilot hitting the rails and throwing sparks in the process. The location is Battenville, New York, and the engine was traveling west (from right to left across the frame). Image copyright (c) 2011 Aaron Keller.

Photographed by Aaron Keller, January 4, 2011.

Railroad: Battenkill.
