Pennsylvania Coal Company Gravity Railroad: 1 of 18

The PCC (Pennsylvania Coal Company) was constructed in 1850 between Scranton, PA and Hawley. It was abandoned in 1885 when it was replaced by a "steam powered" railroad that eventually became the Erie Railroad's Wyoming Division. These are bridge abutments over a small stream that are located along Route 348 in Mount Cobb, PA. Photo taken on Saturday 12/11/2010.
