Five EMD SD70 series locomotives wait to head south in Bow New Hampshire. Union Pacific SD70M #4522 leads an all Norfolk Southern lash up of SD70M-2s #s 2661 and 2750 along with a standard cab SD70 #2548 and one more SD70M-2 #2689. The quintuplet had come north on Sunday the 19th at about 8pm (EST.) These five EMDs sure were a nice break from the constant stream of C40-9Ws and ES40DCs that have dominated coal trains since the split up of Conrail. NOTE: The railroad listed may or may not match up to the locomotive photographed; it is listed as the railroad owning the tracks the photo was taken on.
