Canadian Pacific 4-6-2 #2317 was powering the short Scranton Limited rides on this day. The word is that after the Railfest weekend this locomotive was to have its fires dropped, as it's 15 year overhaul inspection is due. According to what I've heard Steamtown is not giving this locomotive any attention until their #26 and the Boston & Maine Railroad #3713 is complete. I'm glad I got photos and video of the #2317 as this could be the very last time it ever operates.
