granite blocks from old Salem depot

I have long wondered what might have happened to the granite that was part of the old Salem Depot that got demolished in the 1950's. Here, at a location off Green Street in Salem, about a mile from where the station stood, may be part of the answer. The wall was reported to be built from many of those massive blocks, and the staining and coloration give us good clues. The 2 houses on the property were moved to that location after the wall was built.
