NS in Matewan, WV

The NS runs behind the main drag in Matewan. Matewan is the site of the Matewan Massacre in 1908, when coal miners, wearing red Oskosh handkerchiefs around their necks 9the source of the term (redneck) tried to Unionize the last non-Union county in WV. Thousands of minewrs descended on the town, including a hijacked train. This site of the opening volly of the Hatfields and McCoys is a must see place for anyone modeling a WV coal road. They have a GREAT museum, staffed by families who lived there during the massacre.
