Many of the coal mines on this road have closed (remember the Utah mine disaster a few years back?) The road has continued to purchase, rebuild & repaint quite a few locos. I don't know what they haul now. They have trackage rights over the UP (old D&RGW) to Salt Lake City. I've seen some of them as pushers on UP unit coal trains over the divide to SLC.
