Over and UnderTwo of the regular users of the Steel Bridge across the Willamette River in Portland, Ore. are meeting at the south end of Portland Union Station.
On the bridge's upper level, a TriMet MAX light rail train is heading eastbound to Gresham while Amtrak "Empire Builder" #27, which had just arrived and unloaded its passengers, is crossing Front Avenue to reach the bridge's lower level and turn on the East Portland wye.
The 1912- vintage lift bridge, which is owned by Union Pacific, hosts Amtrak, BNSF, Portland & Western, and UP trains on the lower level, and light rail services from four MAX routes (Blue, Red, Yellow and Green) on the upper level.
