One Centennial to Another

Union Pacific DDA40X "Centennial" 6936 is the only operating survivor of 47 built for the railroad in 1969, the UP's centennial year.

It remains an integral part of the company's heritage fleet of locomotives and rolling stock.

The big EMD is shown at Portland Union Station in May 1996 when it visited the Rose City for the depot's centennial celebration.
