DOUBLE HEADED N&W PACIFICSNorfolk & Western E-2a 4-6-2's 578 and 563 have paused at St. Paul, Virginia on May 4, 1957 with the Bluefield to Norton local. Train Number 5 is heavy today because several cars are for a NRHS group of which I am part. This segment is part of a three day trip out of Washington to view the nearly all steam N&W. Pacific 578 (Richmond 1910) has been preserved but 563 was scrapped the next year.
