NORFOLK & WESTERN TURNTABLE

N&W E-2a 4-6-2 563 (Roanoke 1912-1958) being turned at Norton, Va for the Clinch Valley local Number 6 to Bluefield. NRHS cars will be part of the local and will require the help of E-2a 578. The inverted triangle bridge girder is uncommon. I think it was only an 85 foot bridge, just about the length of 563.

Photographed by EDWARD OZOG, May 4, 1957.
Added to the photo archive by Edward Ozog, March 1, 2010.
Railroad: Norfolk and Western Railroad.
