Weirs Beach, NH under construction

Flagman Neil Rousseau carefully watches as the caboose train from Lincoln, NH passes through the Weirs Beach Area which is under repair from the extensive storm damage from an August 2008 storm. FEMA funds were able to fund only some of this reconstruction to the famous historic Weirs Beach Boardwalk. This is the "Center of the Universe" for Laconia Bike Week, the longest running motorcycle event in the country held each year around Fathers Day Week.

Shortly after this last train of the season passes by crews will take the track out of service for both boardwalk and track consruction.
