Canadian National 4-8-4

CN U-2-c 6153 (MLW 1929) near St.Pierre (Montreal) working the official last CN steam operation. This was the run to Joliette, the first of two trips to mark the official end of steam on the CN. The trip to Ottawa the next day ended at the Turcot roundhouse in Montreal where the roundhouse doors were ceromoniously closed on regular steam operations. On the doors the CN had large signs in French and English --"The End Of An Era".
