NEW HAVEN DL109's IN SLEET

The DL109's are leaving the east end of the Northup Avenue yard in the Woodlawn section of Pawtucket, RI with a freight for Worcester. The wall to the left is the foundation of the Woodlawn station which was above track level. There was also a large water tank here in steam days. On the right is the interchange with the Moshassuck Valley Railroad which once offered frequent passenger service to this station. The portion of the yard that can be seen is the combined eastbound departure yard and the east and west receiving yard which fed the single hump in the distance at the Pawtucket-Providence border.
