NEW HAVEN and BOSTON & MAINENH 0617 is one of 22 ALCO S-2's (built 1944) owned by the New Haven. Notice that the NH ALCO has a low-clearance roof in contrast to the normal roof line of the pair of B&M ALCO switchers. The Worcester Engine House where I shot this during a fantrip stop (note the "American Flyer" car) was a joint facility.
