Flying Yankee -- Flurry of Activity

Snapped this quick photo in Lincoln, NH of the F/Y Restoration Group hard at work at several very important improvements. Dick Towle, in the white shirt and others are constructing a glass window at the very front of the canvas weatherproof cover that shields the Flying Yankee from the elements. The purpose is to allow at least a front view to anyone visiting the Hobo Railroad Yard in Lincoln year round. In the past the view was only possible during open houses.

Also being installed by others are the four flat screen monitors that were given to the F/Y by a grant from Operation Lifesaver to be used for presentations in the finished center car during open houses.

And finally being affixed to the sides are the refurbished "Boston and Maine Railroad" nameplates signs that graced each side of the power car.
