Just west of grand Junction, all the way to Fruita, Co, are several dozen industrial sites and team tracks served by the UP out of Grand Junction, CO on the old DRG&W mainline. The tracks parallel old US6 and provide many opportunities to watch switching opportunities. It usually runs in the morning, and by the way the crew (ex DRG&W employees) are very friendly and helpful to RR photographers.
