MONTREAL TRAIN AT WHITE RIVER JUNCTION

The Boston & Maine F units led by 4227 are being removed from the train from New York/Springfield by ALCO S-1 1266. They will be replaced by a Central Vermont GP unit for the trip to Montreal. On the left you can see a ball signal and on the far right the B&M engine on the Springfield/New York train. White River Jct. was fascinating when trains from Boston and New York arrived on both sides of the station and B&M engines were exchanged for a Canadian Pacific locomotive on one and a Central Vermont unit on the other, both running to Montreal on different routes. I'm on my way to see the last of steam in Canada
