A leased locomotive is seen on switching duty in the Caribou yard. The gondola in the foreground was placed only a few days before for the purpose of loading old rail sections, most of which were removed from the unused portions of the yard. It sits on the lead to the old roundhouse and coal shed sitting behind the photographer.
