Eastbound CN crossing the Floodway at Winnipeg

Lead by CN 8872 and 2256, an Eastbound CN stack train coming out of Transcona Yard rumbles across the Red River Floodway. This spring the Red River is flooding at epic levels. Normally nearly dry, the floodway protects the city of Winnipeg by diverting water around the city via its 47km length. Numerous highway and railway bridges like this one span the floodway.
