HLCX #6211 [SD40-2]; Kingston, NYMany years ago, as I was getting back into railfanning; I caught a leased unit on film. Oddly, leased units are unusual in my primary area of railfanning, (Kingston, NY) with mostly solid CSX consists heading through the area.
In this photo, Helm Financial (HLCX) #6211 was laying over in the Kingston Yard on point of a northbound COFC / Intermodal train.
Of course, what I like about SD40-2's is the same as practically everyone else: the long "porches" on front and rear of the locomotive. You can practically hold a family bar-b-que on the front of the locomotive. I keep expecting, that some day, I'll actually see a bar-b-que grill tied to the handrail!
