Number 1 with Private Varnish

Engine #1 heads upgrade northbound out of Proctor on the "Old C&P" with private car Housatonic. Ex B&M 1186 was always plagued with water leaks in the thin alco engine block which turned the oil gray and thinned it out to the point where the unit would shut-down until the leak was plugged with weld or lace and new oil was added. But if caught away in the woods the low oil pressure switch was tripped with a matchbook cover to get the passengers home to Proctor.
