Special Car

A special articulated car has been spotted on the Valley Branch mainline in Cromwell (CT) in anticipation of moving some very large power station equipment later this month. The equipment is being brought up the CT River on barge and will be offloaded onto special trucks. Two of the loads will be shipped to Middletown by rail (Providence & Worcester) and 4 will go to the western part of the state over the road by truck (at 7 MPH).

This car is listed as KWUX: SIEMENS WESTINGHOUSE POWER CORPORATION [UTILITY POWER CORP.; ALLIS-CHALMERS POWER SYSTEMS, INC.]
