A Lonely Shovel

#7's shovel hangs quietly over the empty coal chute. She probably hasn't been used since #7 dropped her fire last in Dec 2003. Here's hoping that she'll be used again soon.

The frame will become the next target of the MNG crews, as a through inspection, cleaning, and painting is in order for the framework and tank.

#7 is in the middle of extensive restoration to her boiler, and the museum hopes to have her back in steam by late 2009 or early 2010. For more information, please visit http://www.mngrr.org/engine7.html and follow the progress in our work session reports
