The caboose train is on the steep grade just north of Ashland Station in the area that was out of service for two months due to the August 6th storm which left the railroad with over 75 washouts betwen Ashland and Laconia , NH. Two 660 HP Alco S1's handle the climb up Ashand Hill with the 20+ cabooses.
